This map was created for the Halloweenville level design competition of which I finished in second place with an honourable mention. This map was designed to innovate on the horror theme, experimenting on an established formula.
I designed the map to place constant pressure on the player, as if they were being hunted.
The player is chased by the "enemy" into a room. They are given a small amount of time to then hide, avoiding being caught.
This video shows my design thoughts of creating an immersive experience and inducing fear - entertaining the player all the while.
